About the role
The Surgical Oncologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and surgically managing patients with solid organ malignancies. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment outcomes and a patient-centric care experience.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and manage patients with suspected or confirmed malignancies requiring surgical intervention
- Perform oncological surgeries in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, and other specialities
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, expected outcomes, and post-operative care
