About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis I specializing in Tandoor Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. In this entry-level kitchen position, you will work under the mentorship of experienced chefs to master tandoor cooking techniques while preparing ingredients, assisting with cooking operations, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
What you'll do
- Operate tandoor ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
- Assist senior chefs in executing tandoor dishes while maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and kitchen areas in full compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure all dishes are prepared to specification
- Receive and respond constructively to feedback from senior kitchen staff to continuously improve cooking techniques and efficiency
