Assistant Manager Housekeeping

About the role

Assist the Housekeeping Manager in planning, organising and supervising the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry and linen services. Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean, well-maintained and in good repair.

What you'll do

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean, well-maintained and in good repair
• Plan and organise departmental training for ambassadors, with particular attention to service standards, courtesy, efficiency and job knowledge
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitor attendance and conduct labour planning to maintain cost effectiveness and meet hotel activity levels
• Maintain accurate inventory of stocks, guest supplies and linens, ordering to par levels as necessary and preventing loss or pilferage
• Handle guest complaints professionally and establish amicable relations with guests, addressing their needs and concerns promptly
