About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Commis I to join our culinary team at our restaurant in Mysuru, India. As a Commis I specializing in Tandoor Cuisine, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to prepare ingredients, assist with cooking operations, and maintain the highest standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
What you'll do
- Prepare and portion ingredients for tandoor cooking, including marinating meats, vegetables, and breads according to established recipes and standards
- Operate tandoor ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
- Assist senior chefs in executing tandoor dishes while maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure dishes are prepared to specification
