About the role
The Main Mould Engineer leads the design, fabrication, and maintenance of molds used in wind turbine blade production, ensuring precise geometry and structural integrity. This role involves optimizing mold processes, conducting quality inspections, and integrating new technologies to enhance mold performance.
What you'll do
- Oversee the creation of detailed mold specifications, including core material configurations and mold surface treatments
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for molds, including periodic inspections, cleaning, and repairs to maintain mold accuracy and performance
- Process Integration and Optimization
- Ensure seamless integration of molds into the blade production process, coordinating with pre-fabrication and post-mold teams to achieve efficient workflows
- Optimize mold processes, including alignment and resin flow, to enhance production efficiency and blade quality
