About the role
This role is responsible to manage the shift operations within the thermal power plant, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with all procedures and regulations. This role will manage the operations of all units, switchyard, and Balance of Plant (BoP), and coordinate with various stakeholders to optimize plant performance.
What you'll do
- Monitor operations of thermal power plant, switchyard, and Balance of Plant with optimum efficiency
- Monitor plant operations and handle emergencies including shut-down of units and load throw-off to control generation as per requirements
- Monitor DSM (Deviation Settlement Mechanism) and operations of all units to reduce DSM loss
- Report shift activities in E-Log books and ensure all documents are being filled by the shift team
- Monitor issuance and cancellation of Permit as per PTW systems
