About the role
The Central or Site Environment Executive is responsible for supporting the Environment Lead in ensuring environmental compliance and stewardship across mining operations. This role involves assisting with the implementation of environmental management systems, coordinating with regulatory bodies, conducting monitoring activities, and preparing reports to maintain adherence to environmental standards and regulations.
What you'll do
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Environment Management System to align with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to facilitate the acquisition of necessary environmental permits and clearances
- Support the process of obtaining Consents to Establish (CTO) and ensure compliance with environmental regulations during project execution
- Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather necessary data for environmental reporting
- Assist in the preparation and submission of compliance reports to regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
