Manager -Fertilizer & Rake Operation

About the role

Shift In Charge - Backup Fertilizer and Minerals Operations is responsible for leading the shift activities related to the handling and processing of fertilizer and mineral cargo at the port. This role ensures that operations during the shift are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the port's operational standards and safety protocols.

What you'll do

• Monitor vessel loading and unloading operations, rake handling, and cargo storage, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain operational efficiency
• Assess and manage the allocation of resources, including equipment and labor, to support efficient cargo handling during the shift
• Conduct safety briefings, enforce the use of personal protective equipment, and maintain a safe working environment throughout the shift
• Facilitate effective communication with client representatives, transporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Oversee the quality and quantity of cargo during handling, ensuring that all operations meet the required standards
