About the role
This role is responsible for leading the fire safety operations within the power plant, ensuring a robust and compliant fire safety environment. This role encompasses managing emergency response protocols, ensure maintenance of firefighting equipment, and conducting regular safety training and drills.
What you'll do
- Oversee fire safety for high-risk areas, particularly fuel storage zones, to prevent fire incidents
- Ensure the standardization of firefighting equipment and appliances, maintaining readiness at all times
- Lead fire risk assessments and implement control management strategies to meet international benchmarks
- Liaise with neighbouring fire services and other agencies like Mutual Aid Response Group (MARG) for collaborative efforts
- Conduct SRFA audits and facilitate technical audits at site
