About the role
To lead and manage end-to-end opencast coal mining operations, ensuring achievement of production targets within cost, safety, environmental, and statutory frameworks, while driving operational excellence, stakeholder management, and sustainable practices.
What you'll do
- Planning and Implementation: Plan and implement mine operations to reach and sustain peak rated capacity, maintain coal quality, and drive operational excellence
- Project Performance and Reporting: Track and report project performance against production, cost and timeline targets
- Statutory Clearances and Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory norms and support renewal and amendment of clearances, progressive mine closure
- Public and Government Relations: Manage stakeholders across government and local communities to support land possession, R&R and smooth operations
- People Management and Development: Lead and develop the operations team across coal, OB, blasting, M&C, VTO and civil infrastructure
