About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior COBOL/RPG Developer to support modernization of IBM i (AS400) green-screen banking applications. This role is ideal for a developer with deep IBM i system knowledge and a strong understanding of how legacy business logic integrates with backend data and frontend modernization efforts.
What you'll do
- Analyze and evaluate legacy IBM i (AS400) COBOL/RPG applications
- Analyze and document complex SQL queries
- Translate legacy green-screen programs into modular, maintainable components
- Collaborate with SME and architects to align legacy code logic with modernization patterns and document the requirements
- Participate in code walk-throughs and assist with integration validations
