About the role
Play a key role in developing our HV substation and LV design capability as part of the Electrification & Power (E&P) team Demonstrated ability to manage design packages independently and contribute to project planning and execution.
What you'll do
- Develop concept and detailed designs, key elements of design deliverables including technical reports, electrical calculations and design specifications
- Review CAD drawings and ensure thorough documentation of all design work
- Mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers and CAD technicians
- Act as Lead Engineer/CRE, Checker on projects, ensuring all outputs are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations
- Ensure accuracy in drawings and calculations, designs comply with all relevant regulations, including CDM and Health & Safety legislation
