Senior Hydroelectricity and Dams Engineer - Heavy Mechanical

About the role

The systems involved include, but are not limited to, gates and stoplogs, trash racks, lifting mechanisms, winches, overhead cranes, material handling systems, as well as associated auxiliary equipment. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team composed of engineers, technicians, and project managers, contributing to the delivery of complex projects across Canada and, occasionally, internationally.

What you'll do

• Also work closely with other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, structural), architects, suppliers, and specialized consultants
• Act as a senior technical reference in heavy mechanical engineering for hydroelectric and dam projects
• Define design criteria and design bases for mechanical systems and ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes
• Perform or supervise calculations, analyses, and equipment selection
• Prepare, review, and approve technical deliverables (studies, drawings, tender documents, specifications, cost estimates)
