About the role
Aga Khan Rural Support Programme India (AKRSP India) is a non-denominational, non-political, non-government organization. The Development Organizer (WASH) will support the implementation of drinking water and sanitation programs at the village level. Working under the guidance of the District Coordinator, this role focuses on community mobilization, training coordination, and facilitating the smooth operation and maintenance of water schemes.
What you'll do
- Community Mobilization & Awareness
- Lead community awareness campaigns regarding safe drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation practices
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, including Jal Choupal sessions, WIMC meetings to discuss water management
- Encourage the participation of women and marginalized groups in all water committees and decision-making bodies
