About the role
Aga Khan Rural Support Programme India (AKRSP India) is a non-denominational, non-political, non-government organization. The Project Coordinator (WASH) will support the implementation of drinking water and sanitation programs at the village level. Working under the guidance of the District Coordinator, this role focuses on community mobilization, training coordination, and facilitating the smooth operation and maintenance of water schemes.
What you'll do
- Water Security and Infrastructure Development
- Coordinate the identification, assessment and implementation of water security and WASH infrastructure interventions
- Facilitate site selection, community consultation, technical assessment, procurement planning and implementation monitoring
- Ensure that infrastructure activities follow approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards and applicable safety requirements
- Promote community ownership and appropriate operation and maintenance arrangements for water and sanitation assets
