Position Summary The Sr. Development Organizer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agriculture and livelihood promotion interventions aimed at enhancing farm productivity, diversifying income sources, strengthening farmer institutions, and improving household incomes among rural communities.
What you'll do
- Mobilize and organize farmers into groups, producer collectives, and community institutions
- Promote improved agricultural practices, climate-resilient farming, and sustainable natural resource management
- Facilitate demonstrations, exposure visits, and farmer field schools on improved crop production technologies
- Support the adoption of improved seeds, soil health management, integrated pest management, and efficient water-use practices
- Facilitate livelihood opportunities for smallholder and marginal farmers, women, and vulnerable households
