What you'll do
- Work with suppliers during the PPAP stage to review, define, and confirm packaging concepts, ensuring the selected packaging is suitable for part protection, handling
- Validate packaging proposals together with Supplier Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and plant logistics teams
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications, standards, and approval records, including packaging dimensions, material type, palletization, stackability
- Assess packaging reliability through practical reviews, trial shipments, damage feedback, handling risks, and plant receiving feedback
- Maintain close communication with Procurement to balance packaging cost, supplier capability, lead time
