Fitter - Mechanical Assembly (Apprenticeship)

About the role

*Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly sketches, and work instructions to plan the assembly sequence. *Mark out, measure, and inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. *Carry out fitting and mechanical assembly operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, filing, deburring, aligning, and fastening parts with bolts, screws, and other fasteners.

What you'll do

• Perform basic fabrication, minor adjustments, and, where applicable, simple welding or use of power tools for cutting or grinding
• Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines, use PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area
