What you'll do
- Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in Jan 2027 (date subject to flexibility)
- Objective to further mature the fatigue initiation prediction models developed previously for uniaxial and multiaxial models including aspects of plasticity and variable…
- Improve the finite element implementation of the previously developed models with required user inputs to integrate with Abaqus
- Adapt CDM models to higher complexity such as multiaxial loading, non-localization phenomenon, complex spectra, plasticity and analyze the results
- Validate the developed methods with PoC specimens and correlate with physical test results
