About the role
The Data Strategy Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving Client's enterprise data strategy. Client's data estate is in active transition — SQL Server as the source of truth, Redshift as the analytical target, Snowflake being decommissioned, and Confluent being evaluated for replacement by RedPanda.
What you'll do
- Define Client's multi-year data strategy aligned to business growth, regulatory requirements, and AI/ML ambitions
- Lead the transition from a fragmented, legacy SQL Server-heavy estate to a governed, Redshift-centred analytical platform
- Own strategic decisions on platform consolidation — Snowflake exit, Confluent-to-RedPanda migration, and long-term warehouse direction
- Establish data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks from the ground up
- Partner with Client Client (Data and AI Lead) and engineering leadership to embed data thinking into Client's product roadmap
