About the role
As a Staff Post-Silicon DDR Characterization Engineer, you will focus on DDR/LPDDR memory subsystems, characterizing silicon across process, voltage, temperature, and frequency (PVTF) conditions. You will identify and debug complex silicon issues, analyze electrical and performance margins, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve silicon power, performance, stability, and reliability.
What you'll do
- Define and execute DDR/LPDDR post-silicon characterization plans covering performance, power, functionality, electrical margins, and reliability
- Identify, reproduce, debug, and drive root-cause analysis of complex silicon and memory subsystem issues
- Perform eye margining, timing analysis, voltage/frequency shmoo characterization, and electrical measurements using MSOs and other laboratory equipment
- Analyze DDR/LPDDR controller, PHY, and system-level behavior to identify performance bottlenecks and operating limitations
- Develop reusable Python/C++ automation for characterization, instrumentation, data collection, and reporting
