What you'll do
- Build and evolve Ruby/Rails applications and APIs with clean, maintainable architecture
- Work confidently with ActiveRecord and relational databases, including query optimization, indexing, transactions, and data modeling
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks across application, database, and API layers
- Investigate and resolve production issues using logs, monitoring, stack traces, and root-cause analysis
- Design and operate background processing workflows using Sidekiq or similar systems, with attention to retries, failures, concurrency, and idempotency
