About the role
You will work closely with our consultants and surgical team to ensure the highest standard of medical care for patients undergoing cardiac and related surgeries. You will be responsible for extracorporeal circulation, organ perfusion, and electrophysiological analysis while training and mentoring junior perfusionists.
What you'll do
- Operate and manage extracorporeal circulation and cardiopulmonary support systems
- Maintain counterpulsation, circulatory support, ventricular assistance, and ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation)
- Implement blood conservation techniques, autotransfusion, and myocardial preservation
- Monitor anticoagulation, hematologic parameters, blood gases, and chemistry
- Maintain hypothermia/hyperthermia induction and reversal, hemodilution, and hemofiltration
