About the role
We are looking for an experienced Manager - BI to lead the Chennai BI and Data Engineering organisation of 15+ BI developers and data engineers. Successful candidate will build, develop and retain a high-performing team, own delivery across multiple projects and support streams, and keep the team technically strong in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
What you'll do
- Own the people lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, feedback, promotions, career development and succession planning
- Drive engagement and retention, and build a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous learning
- Plan and manage team capacity, resource allocation and priorities across projects, enhancements and production support
- Manage dependencies and risks across teams and escalate early
- Ensure Agile/Scrum practices and release governance (peer review, deployment pipelines, test and production approvals) are followed consistently
