What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and validation of flight and ground mechanisms required for fully functional launch vehicle operations
- Own mechanism design from concept, trade studies, and detailed design through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and qualification
- Coordinate closely with Analysis, Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing teams to mature designs in accordance with the program development plan
- Drive design optimization considering structural integrity, mass, reliability, manufacturability, and operational constraints
- Define, plan, and oversee mechanism-level test campaigns, including functional, structural, environmental, and qualification testing for developmental flights
