About the role
The Buyer/ Planner is responsible for to plan material requirements, procure materials and services, and ensure timely availability of components to support manufacturing while achieving quality, cost, inventory, and delivery objectives.
What you'll do
- Raise and manage purchase orders for production and indirect materials. Run MRP and convert material demand into purchase orders
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical deliveries. Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, logistics, and sourcing teams
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and safety stock.Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and customer commitments
- Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and invoice issues
- Support new product introductions and engineering changes
