Head of Legal & Compliance - Mumbai

About the role

As our Head of Legal, you will be a strategic partner to the local leadership team, helping drive business success while ensuring strong legal, compliance, data protection, and governance practices across the organization. In this role, you will manage legal activities for the Operating Unit, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and provide practical, business-focused guidance aligned with local, regional, and corporate priorities.

What you'll do

• Partner with the local leadership team, providing strategic legal and compliance guidance while contributing to broader business discussions and decisions
• Deliver legal support across all business functions, including negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing disputes, litigation, and other legal matters
• Collaborate with regional and corporate Legal & Compliance teams to support centrally managed initiatives, including sourcing support, intellectual property matters
• Lead Legal & Compliance projects within the Operating Unit and actively contribute to regional initiatives across IMETA
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel to ensure effective and efficient legal support
