About the role
Role Description As a SAP Workload Automation and Basis Engineer, you will establish and operate the scheduling and workload automation capability for our Financial Systems. Your primary focus will be SAP workloads, while the capability will also cover connected non-SAP workloads across on-premises, cloud and SAP RISE.
What you'll do
- Build the scheduling and orchestration capability Design and establish a robust scheduling and orchestration framework for SAP and connected non-SAP workloads
- Define standards for job design, dependencies, calendars, priorities, SLAs, retries, failure handling, reruns and recovery
- Maintain an inventory of critical jobs, job chains and end-to-end financial processes, including ownership, dependencies and operational impact
- Ensure that scheduling patterns are reliable, auditable, secure and maintainable across SAP, BTP, RISE and cloud AWS, os-level, on-prem, third party environments
- Establish policies, standards and operational documentation Write and maintain scheduling policies, standards, SoPs, runbooks and operational documentation
