What you'll do
- Design 3D models and assemblies in commonly used CAD platforms
- Ensure bracket designs and fastening methods withstand automotive vibration, thermal cycling, and harsh operating environments
- Generate production-ready 2D design drawings with the relevant dimensions and tolerances
- Analyze packaging constraints, clearance limits, and access/ergonomic requirements within various vehicle compartments (e.g., engine bay, cabin, under body, boot space)
- Apply clear understanding of DFMA and process capabilities (e.g., stamping, bending, CNC machining, laser cutting) to design cost-effective
