About the role
To assist welders, fabricators, and fitters in carrying out fabrication activities involving MS plates, pipes, structural sections, and other engineering materials. The helper is responsible for material preparation, handling, housekeeping, tool assistance, and supporting fabrication work according to drawings, supervisor instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements.
What you'll do
- Assist fabricators, welders, and fitters in daily workshop and site fabrication activities
- Handle, shift, stack, and arrange raw materials such as MS plates, pipes, angles, channels, beams, and flats
- Assist in material marking, measurement, cutting, grinding, drilling, and edge preparation under supervision
- Support fitters in component alignment, positioning, clamping, and fit-up activities
- Arrange and provide required tools, consumables, and materials to welders and fitters
