About the role
"Job Purpose: To supervise shift-level Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) activities, promote safe working practices, ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures, and support prevention of workplace incidents.
What you'll do
- Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, warehouses, utility sections, workshops, and other assigned locations
- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, safe operating practices, permit-to-work systems, and applicable EHS procedures
- Verify permits and required precautions for hot work, confined-space entry, work at height, electrical work, and equipment isolation, as applicable
- Conduct shift safety briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to reinforce hazard identification and incident prevention
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions, recommend corrective actions, and follow up with responsible departments for timely closure
