Welder

About the role

He will be responsible for fabricating, joining, assembling, and repairing metal structures, process equipment, structural steel, and piping systems. He will work from technical blueprints and engineering drawings to deliver structural welds and high-quality argon-shielded joints. Able to work in cleanroom environments requiring full gowning (PPE).

What you'll do

• Responsible for fabricating, joining, assembling, and repairing metal structures, process equipment, structural steel, and piping systems
• Clean, bevel, grind, and prepare metals prior to welding. Select appropriate filler metals, electrode sizes
• Ensure full root penetration, smooth bead appearance, and defect-free welds (preventing porosity, undercut, slag inclusions
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and assist with non-destructive testing (NDT), dye-penetrant testing (DPT), or hydrostatic pressure testing as required
• Maintain welding machines, torches, regulators, gas cylinders, and hand tools in optimal working condition. Troubleshoot basic equipment faults
