About the role
The position plays a key role in strengthening WSP’s renewable energy engineering platform by establishing consistent renewable energy standards, scalable delivery models, and high‑quality client outcomes. The engineer will be involved in projects with our Systems Engineering Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
What you'll do
- Responsible for delivery excellence across the full project lifecycle — from early development through commissioning and operations
- Design and model solar PV systems, Wind and BESS for utility-scale, commercial, and microgrid applications using PVsyst, PVcase, and AutoCAD
- Perform layout optimization, shading analysis, energy yield simulations, and loss assessments
- Use NREL’s SAM or other bankable software for financial modeling, performance forecasting, and system cost-benefit analysis
- Conduct site assessments, review topographical data, and analyze meteorological datasets (e.g., TMY, DNI, GHI)
