About the role
We are seeking an experienced Substation Structural Senior CAD Technician to join our Substation Structural team in Bengaluru, India, supporting North American substation projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for CAD and BIM delivery, coordinate and mentor CAD resources, perform detailed quality reviews, and help the team deliver accurate, coordinated, and constructible civil and structural drawings.
What you'll do
- Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of civil, structural, and substation design drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit, and other approved CAD and BIM platforms
- Develop and maintain 2D drawings (and 3D models) for substation structures, foundations, equipment support structures, control and switchgear buildings, duct banks
- Prepare plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, reinforcement details, structural steel drawings
- Review and resolve drawing comments, redlines, and coordination issues and verify that revisions are fully and correctly incorporated
- Perform detailed self-checks and quality control reviews before internal checking and submission
