About the role
To deliver a structured, engaging, and safe karate program that promotes physical fitness, self-discipline, respect, and self-confidence among students. The Karate Coach will provide instruction from beginner to advanced levels, organize gradings and events, and potentially prepare students for competitions while aligning with the school’s values and holistic development goals.
What you'll do
- Conduct regular karate classes focusing on basic to advanced techniques, kata (forms), kumite (sparring), and self-defense
- Emphasize discipline, focus, and respect as integral parts of martial arts training
- Develop and implement a structured karate curriculum aligned with student development goals
- Organize grading examinations (belt promotions) in collaboration with recognized martial arts bodies
- Prepare and coach students for school demonstrations, inter-school competitions, or recognized karate tournaments (if part of the program)
