About the role
CDM Smith seeks qualified Transportation Planner/Modeler Grade 5, to join the Traffic and Transportation Planning team in Bangalore, India Global Resource Center (GRC) office. Under light supervision, the candidate prepares basic studies for transportation projects in Middle East and USA. The candidate gathers, compiles and analyzes transportation related data.
What you'll do
- The Engineer must perform tasks related to transportation planning and engineering which include but not limited to the following: Data Analysis & Operational Analysis
- Compile and analyze data – demographic, land use, traffic counts, travel speeds as required to reflect existing and future conditions
- Conduct capacity analysis for intersections and roadways using widely used software
- Write basic scripts in Excel or other programming languages for data analysis Modeling
- Prepare, analyze relevant land use data for modeling work
