What you'll do
- Lead the Data Engineering capability across data platform engineering, data pipelines and processing, data operations, BI and reporting, and data quality engineering
- Lead the Data Engineering capability, owning data platform engineering across the cloud data platform (Google BigQuery), storage, compute, and data access layers on GCP
- Own data pipelines and processing, engineering robust ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines (Python, Apache Airflow, dbt
- Own data operations, including pipeline monitoring, job orchestration and scheduling, incident resolution, and the reliability and uptime of data ingestion (DataOps)
- Own BI and reporting, developing semantic layers (Looker, LookML), reporting models, and dashboards (Power BI, SQL) to deliver actionable business intelligence
