About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented U.S. Tax Preparer responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns in compliance with IRS regulations. The role involves reviewing client documents, preparing accurate returns using tax software, and ensuring timely, error-free filings through effective coordination with internal reviewers.
What you'll do
- Review client documents including W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, K-1s, brokerage statements, and financial records
- Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040) with applicable schedules
- Assist in preparation of business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065)
- Enter and manage financial data in tax software
- Reconcile income sources such as wages, interest, dividends, and capital gains
