About the role
The role of the Instructional Designer is to design, develop, and deliver engaging and pedagogically sound learning experiences for distance and online learners. The incumbent will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and content teams to translate academic material into effective, learner-centric instructional designs.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with SMEs and faculty to analyze learning needs, define learning objectives, and design structured instructional frameworks
- Create detailed storyboards, scripts, and prototypes to communicate instructional flow and multimedia integration
- Work closely with multimedia and graphic design teams to integrate visuals, audio, video, and animations that enhance learning experience
- Ensure instructional materials meet accessibility and usability standards (WCAG, responsive design, etc.)
- Conduct content reviews and functional testing to ensure instructional accuracy, design consistency, and technical reliability
