About the role
The Web Administrator will be responsible for the administration, hosting, security, performance tuning, and overall upkeep of the University's websites and web-based systems.
What you'll do
- Administer, maintain, and manage multiple University websites and web-based systems independently, including uptime, availability, and day-to-day operations
- Manage DNS for all University domains and subdomains, including zone files, A/CNAME/MX/TXT records, TTL settings, domain renewals
- Evaluate, set up, and manage web hosting environments (on-premise, shared, VPS, dedicated, and cloud hosting), including server provisioning
- Implement and maintain web application and server security: web application firewalls (WAF), SSL/TLS configuration, vulnerability scanning, patch management
- Monitor and tune website response time and server performance using caching, content delivery networks (CDN), load balancing, compression, and server/database tuning
