About the role
The Medical Gas Operator – Oxygen Plant is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the hospital oxygen plant and medical gas systems. The role ensures uninterrupted supply of medical gases (oxygen, medical air, vacuum where applicable) to all clinical areas, complying with safety standards, statutory norms, and hospital policies to support continuous patient care.
What you'll do
- Operate and monitor the oxygen plant as per standard operating procedures
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen to wards, ICUs, OTs, emergency, and other patient care areas
- Monitor pressure levels, flow rates, purity levels, alarms, and system parameters
- Monitor medical gas pipeline systems, manifolds, and outlet points
- Identify and report any leakage, pressure drop, alarm activation, or abnormal functioning immediately
