About the role
The Database Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing Deel’s database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and high availability. This role is crucial for maintaining the infrastructure that supports Deel’s data operations and ensuring that all databases are running efficiently.
What you'll do
- Support and guide developers on database-related development and design best practices
- Review and approve database-related code written by developers
- Monitor database health and performance metrics
- Support live incidents and respond to alerts (errors, locks, deadlocks, availability, etc.)
- Perform maintenance tasks including backup and restore, engine upgrades, data migrations, and parameter changes
