Sets database system administration and programming standards, applies database technology to business problems, manages development and production database environments with emphasis on security, availability, and performance.
What you'll do
- Work with a global database engineering team to deliver self-healing database infrastructure using Ansible, pgVector, Kubernetes and agentic coding patterns
- Design and operate PostgreSQL clusters at scale - replication, partitioning, connection pooling, VACUUM tuning, WAL management
- Deploy and manage PostgreSQL on Kubernetes using operators (CloudNativePG, Patroni) with automated failover, persistent storage optimization, and pod disruption budgets
- Build Ansible-based automation for provisioning, patching, upgrades and disaster recovery
- Optimize pgVector workloads - IVFFlat/HNSW index tuning, dimensionality planning, ANN search performance - for AI/ML embedding pipelines
