Engineer - Manufacturing Engineering (Gears & shaft) at Eaton. Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company.
What you'll do
- We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027
- Designs and establishes end-to-end manufacturing processes for gear and shaft components including turning, hobbing, shaping, grinding, and finishing operations
- Develops and maintains Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans specific to gear and shaft manufacturing
- Analyzes and improves process capability (Cp/Cpk) for critical characteristics such as gear profile, lead, runout, concentricity, hardness, and surface finish
- Creates, reviews, and controls standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure process standardization
