About the role
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design of building mechanical systems. Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams, the role supports projects involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection and associated building systems across design and operational phases.
What you'll do
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations and complete HVAC system sizing for ducts, piping, and equipment
- Design plumbing systems consisting of sanitary, domestic hot and cold water systems, and storm water systems within buildings
- Design fire protection and sprinkler systems
- Prepare technical documentation including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings mark-ups
- Review engineering drawings and specifications for compliance with applicable codes and standards
