What you'll do
- Be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and concept design to hardware/software engineering, simulation, testing, and commissioning
- Lead end-to-end project engineering for high-current static generator excitation systems, from requirements review and concept development through detailed design
- Design excitation system electrical and mechanical layouts for high-current applications, typically in the 5,000 A to 10,000 A range, including cubicle arrangement
- Perform sizing and selection of excitation system components, including transformers, rectifier bridges, thyristors/diodes, bus bars, disconnecting devices, breakers
- Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings, general arrangement drawings, BOMs, control logic, system architecture
