About the role
The Senior iOS Engineer owns Epic's native iOS app -- the primary way our readers open a book on iPhone and iPad. You work independently on a large, established Swift and Objective-C codebase, own the reading experience end-to-end, and partner with our Android, backend, and web teams. This is a role based in India, working closely with Epic's US engineering team and the wider global team.
What you'll do
- Own the reading experience -- the in-house book renderer and audio-text sync (narration aligned to word-level highlighting)
- Own offline reading, in-app purchases, and the App Store release pipeline
- Drive the app's performance, stability, and quality
- Grow into a cross-platform mobile engineer over time, ramping into Android/Kotlin to contribute across both apps
