About the role
As a Gas Distribution SCADA Specialist, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of SCADA systems, facilitating real-time monitoring and control of gas distribution activities. Your technical expertise will be critical in maintaining operational integrity and supporting the technical needs of the distribution network.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA application software, operating systems, hardware, RTUs, and communication networks of the GDN system
- Administer and manage SCADA systems and networks, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and services
- Monitor SCADA system performance such as alarms, events, CPU usage, disk space, and network traffic to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Analyze and manage real-time data using monitoring techniques, data historian tools, and visualization platforms to extract and present system information
- Provide technical support to operations by troubleshooting SCADA failures, generating reports, and resolving system issues
