About the role
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management at the Distribution Centre (DC). This role focuses on maintaining stock accuracy, tracking shelf life, ensuring FIFO compliance, proper storage of materials, and timely allocation to production. The position plays a critical role in minimizing stock loss, ensuring product quality, and enabling smooth production operations.
What you'll do
- Ensure accuracy of opening and closing stock for all materials stored at the DC
- Update inventory movements accurately in the system to enable correct MIS and procurement planning
- Track shelf life of all SKUs physically and in the system to ensure timely allocation to production
- Ensure strict adherence to FIFO during material issuance
- Monitor daily dump and stock loss, track quantities, and identify reasons for loss
