About the role
We are seeking an IT Database Administrator who will be responsible for installing, configuring, securing, maintaining, and optimizing database platforms to ensure their availability, performance, recoverability, and integrity. The role manages database lifecycle activities, implements backup and disaster recovery controls, monitors and resolves database-related issues, and provides technical support to application and development teams.
What you'll do
- Install, configure, and upgrade MSSQL and PostgreSQL database servers
- Create, modify, and maintain database objects, including tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies
- Develop and maintain backup strategies
- Implement and maintain database security and compliance controls
